Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Recordwell ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"), and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use information

3. How we share information

We do not sell the personal information you provide to us for money. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments, data providers), when required by law or to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a business transfer. Marketing/advertising cookies may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under some state laws — see your rights below.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and pixels (e.g. Google Analytics/Ads, Meta) for functionality, measurement, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser and, where offered, our cookie banner or the "Your privacy choices" control.

5. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We cache generated reports for a limited time to improve performance. We do not retain more subject data than needed to deliver a requested report.

6. Your rights

California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US state residents may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale"/"sharing" of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

EEA/UK (GDPR) residents may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any right — including removing your own information from Recordwell results — use our opt-out / data removal request page or email privacy@recordwell.online. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Data about other people

If you search for someone else, you are responsible for using the results lawfully and in line with our Terms. Recordwell is not a Consumer Reporting Agency and reports may not be used for FCRA-covered decisions.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Contact: privacy@recordwell.online.
